Hey,

Hey,

You can share the whole drive. Other than that, maybe someone else could help.
what do you mean with distant drive?.
If you want to share data from internet, you can share it with WebDAV and mount it locally on your NAS using remote-share plugin
I want to map my shares on windows drive letter, but instead of having the server next to me, it's in my apartment 200 km away.
I have no idea how I would need to set WebDav (to more than one Share) and Remote share (Remote mount ?) to make that happen
So I tried to create a Remote mount as shown on the image and I have this error :
Error #0:

Can you ping the IP address of the server?
I would suggest to establish a VPN between the two local networks so you can reach the remote servers IP address. Maybe you have to change some firewall rules (open ports) at the server side network in order to connect to the shares from the remote location.
+1 to VPN, is the best sollution for your requeriments, read more about VPN, because is not a tivial job.
Yes can ping the address, I have access to everything else remotely, but I can't seem to make this work.
Port should be opened and forwarded where needed.
As for VPN, if not trivial, might not be the best solution for me as I know jack sh*t about Linux & VPN so might be a tad hard to setup
Whatever you do, don't share a samba share over the internet...
Open vpn is a very goog vpn. There is a plugin in omv-extras. I haven't used it but should be easy enough to setup.
Ok, so for example I managed to add one of my drives to WebDav. But is there a way to add all 4 drives to WebDav ? That would be a start.
Also I'll take a look at open VPN, but how is a VPN gonna help me access my drives remotely ?
Or is the VPN to secure the connection ?
A vpn will give you access to your home network. You will be able to see anything on it. Shares will work like you are in the network. You can see and administer your omv or other servers.
I use Untangle firewall to provide openvpn. It is free but they have paid options. I use the paid home version but the free version does openvpn. Used the free version for many years. There is also a version for some WiFi routers. Other routers do this as well.
