My question is very simple. How do I upgrade to 4.x?
How do I upgrade from 3.x to 4.x

You don't yet.

OMV4 is not announced stable, yet. If you still want to upgrade:
fully update OMV3 first, then
omv-dist-upgrade
omv-release-upgrade
but make sure you have a clone of your system drive, so that you can go back, if someting goes wrongBackup of your data, you should have anyway

Don't forget to remove any OMV 3 plugins that do not have a corresponding OMV 4 plugin available.

You must not be on the latest 3.x version then.

I have version 3.0.86
That is why then. The omv-release-upgrade tool wasn't added until 3.0.88 I think. Update to latest.

Just upgraded my 2 servers from omv 3.99 without issue.

Sorry for the very noob question, how do I upgrade to the latest version so then I can upgrade to the 4 version?
I have erasmus 3.0.79 but as stated on this thread, I won't be able to upgrade to OMV 4 if I don't have a later version of 3.0.88 to do so, is this correct? -

In the GUI: go to the update management section; then press "check" to search for available updates; select all and press "upgrade"

I did that but still the version is 3.0.79 Erasmus.I don't know if I am confused but what I am looking for is to upgrade to OMV 4. So I am not sure if I have to do some steps before or I can go upgrade from this version directly.
