The property 'uphours-begin' does not exist in the model 'conf.service.autoshutdown'.
This is my fault. The autoshutdown plugin doesn't have any migration code. So, in its current state, it has to purged. I will look at adding migration code.

No Problem! Other wise, it works great!. Great job on this, It makes it easier for everyone.
Hello,
I am looking for some help
i completed 4 to 5 upgrade all is well but i had docker content in sharedfolders and now docker is looking for it /var/lib/docker here
how would i recover the old dockers is it just as simple as copying old over to new location?
so i was able to move the content with rsync as per
https://www.guguweb.com/2019/0…other-location-on-ubuntu/
i stopped docker and then ran sudo rsync -aP /path/to/your/docker /var/lib/docker/
then started docker all working this may not be right but it worked for me.
No Problem! Other wise, it works great!
The autoshutdown plugin 5.0.4 is in the repo and has migration code now.
thanks at all for detailed information. 9apps apk cartoon hd
I am having problems with the OMV extras repo install, it works fine but during install from SSH it appears there is a typo in the sources.list contrib is mispelled as contirb so some things are not installed. Any fix for this?? I also had a devil of a time updating as I ran out of space on my USB and apt-get commands did not work, ended up manually removing some of the old linux images and then apt-get clean, apt-get autoremove, apt-get -f install and dpkg --config -a and maybe a few other commands. this made enough space. Maybe a Tutorial could be done to check space needed and perhaps move the boot USB partition to another larger USB or move to HD boot disk.

omv-extras doesn't touch /etc/apt/sources.list. So, either you or the installer you used set this incorrectly. Just edit /etc/apt/sources.list and fix it.

Maybe a Tutorial could be done to check space needed and perhaps move the boot USB partition to another larger USB or move to HD boot disk.
If you are using an 8 GB disk as recommend, you shouldn't have any problems.
So I'm in a bit of a conundrum, I don't HAVE to move to OMV just yet.
I want to because im impatient, but I don't have to.
I know dev said it'll be out ASAP in Jan and that's all good. Even if it takes another 6 months.
But my feeling is 2 fold.
1) If I go with OMV now run v5 get it all setup and data moved to it, they they release v5 and for whatever reason you cant upgrade to stable release, is this likely?
2) I go now with OMV v5, and then they release v6 stable shortly and skip v5. I would think I should do a clean install for best results and least issues?
I can stay on my current solution with unRAID, but I'd like to use OMV with ZFS. I can wait, but like I say, im impatient.
Just wondering the best course of action here.

1) It has been already said that you will be able to upgrade to V5 "stable", as it will be a minor update.
2) V6 will not be released shortly after V5, there's a lot of work to do in that release.
After Upgrade to OMV 5 I do get an error when I add "extra options" for smb via the web interface:
{"response":null,"error":{"code":0,"message":"The property 'localmaster' does not exist in the model 'conf.service.smb'.","trace":"OMV\\AssertException: The property 'localmaster' does not exist in the model 'conf.service.smb'. in \/usr\/share\/php\/openmediavault\/config\/configobject.inc:71\nStack trace:\n#0 \/usr\/share\/php\/openmediavault\/config\/configobject.inc(186): OMV\\Config\\ConfigObject->assertExists('localmaster')\n#1 \/usr\/share\/php\/openmediavault\/config\/configobject.inc(271): OMV\\Config\\ConfigObject->set('localmaster', true, true)\n#2 \/usr\/share\/php\/openmediavault\/config\/configobject.inc(233): OMV\\Config\\ConfigObject->setFlatAssoc(Array, true, false)\n#3 \/usr\/share\/openmediavault\/engined\/rpc\/smb.inc(81): OMV\\Config\\ConfigObject->setAssoc(Array)\n#4 [internal function]: Engined\\Rpc\\Smb->setSettings(Array, Array)\n#5 \/usr\/share\/php\/openmediavault\/rpc\/serviceabstract.inc(123): call_user_func_array(Array, Array)\n#6 \/usr\/share\/php\/openmediavault\/rpc\/rpc.inc(86): OMV\\Rpc\\ServiceAbstract->callMethod('setSettings', Array, Array)\n#7 \/usr\/sbin\/omv-engined(537): OMV\\Rpc\\Rpc::call('SMB', 'setSettings', Array, Array, 1)\n#8 {main}"}}
As a workarrund I added the extra options manually in /etc/samba/smb.conf and restarted samba service with "systemctl restart smbd".
Edit: Cleared the browser cache and error is gone...
Did you clear your browser cache?
Aaron, Proxmox just issued 5.4 kernel for testing. Maybe you could also test it?
Maybe you could also test it?
I installed it on two of my proxmox nodes and my OMV5 test VM. Looks ok so far. This kernel is set to be released until Q2 2020 though - https://forum.proxmox.com/thre…5-4-for-proxmox-ve.66854/
Yes, this is 20.04 Ubuntu kernel. I've installed it on 3 OMV's atm, and 1 Proxmox server. Works okay for now.
Yes, this is 20.04 Ubuntu kernel.
Yep but the release of Ubuntu 20.04 doesn't mean it is released that day for Proxmox. It is also the LTS kernel which I like. I've been running Ubuntu 20 on a few machines for a while and it has been stable.
Yeah i know, but it is LTS(as you've said) so i hope more updates, and longer support(similar to 4.9, but not like 4.4 which i believe will be supported for 10 years) which should be really great.

I am using an 8 gb stick, I had to remove some of the old linux kernels to make space. I alos dont know section in the sources list to put this in. or should I just put it in the bottom.
right now I have no access to the web gui even omv-firstaid clean cache and reset gui do not work. I was able to get into the qui but it said I needed to apply an update, hit apply now I get the 502 bad gateway
can you try omv-salt deploy run nginx and omv-salt deploy run phpfpm ?
Some feedback from my own experience of migrating OMV4 to OMV5 using the procedure from ryecoaaron (thank you very much for it!), if that can help others:
- Globally, it was smooth upgrade
- There were several configuration files in /etc for which apt proposed a new version. I reviewed them manually. Easy but it takes some time.
- Finally a bug appeared on OMV UI. After everyhting was done, I could connect to the UI, the UI told me there was a change to apply (don't know what), I clicked on apply and boom, the UI was gone (nginx returned a 502 error). Underneath, the file /etc/php/7.3/fpm/pool.d/openmediavault-webgui.conf was not present and I had to copy it from my test server (and of course to restart php-fpm).
So globally, yes, that rocks. Thank you to all contributors!
