Hello forum,
I'm trying to get my new openmediavault server to run. I've 8 HDDs which I'd like to use in my build. 6 can be attached directly to the motherboard and two connect via esata.
With esata ports deactivated - everything is fine.
With esata ports activated - system start, recognizes all hdds (including esata) but can't be found within the network.
If I try to ping to the servers IP adress
with esata activated - no response
with esata deactivated - response.
I don't get it. Why screws the activation of the esata ports my servers network?
Anybody any idea what I could try?
Some specs of my system:
Gigabyte 990 FXA AM3
FX 8350 (at the moment in standard config, later on underclocked and undervolted)
16 GB fully functional RAM
