Customize hard disk

Question, why does OMV always take the whole hard disk? OMV is great in itself, but can't you mount a partition at the beginning?

The subsequent shrinking with Gparted does not work for me anymore (OMV 5)

I would like to use the OMV also on systems where only one hard disk is possible, it would be an advantage if the disk could be divided during installation.

I also don't want to have to use CF or USB all the time, is suboptimal

Is a solution already planned?

There is a plugin that makes it possible to create shared folders on the root filesystem.

Install the share rootfs plugin it will allow you to create shares on the system disk.

once the system is booted that's it, I run mine on usb, in fact I have 3 running rotation, never been an issue.

I'm going to test it in a simulation, and if it works I'm going to use it like this.

The plugin share rootfs, is it normal to use the extras?
