Do you mean for each container? Yes, using macvlans for each container that shall have an individual IP

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. I was running FreeNas for a while and I much preferred the way it would have each jail recieive an IP address from my own router vs using so many different ports. Using the macvlan does it need to be added to each container or does it run separately? Also will it affect previously setup containers?

You can create container and macvlan in one step using one docker-compose file. Or you create the macvlan separately and make the container join the network.

Nope.
as far as I know macVlan use fixed IP not DHCP IP served by Router, but perhaps i'm wrong
