openmediavault6

  • it appears i am stuck as openmediavault-diskstats wouldn't uninstall

As such i am unable to upgrade to omv6

Anyone knows a brute force way to take out diskstats?

I have turned off everything related to disk stats

  • Looks like your config, xml is inconsistent.

    omv-showkey mntent

If you got help in the forum and want to give something back to the project click here (omv) or here (scroll down) (plugins) and write up your solution for others.

  • You caught that, so i am fixing monit

Deleting contents for everything but for one

    omv-confdbadm delete --uuid xxcvsdggeagdgadgfdgvzfdvb conf.system.filesystem.mountpoint

    Then uninstall diskstats

Then reboot and then run upgrade 5 to 6

It works now, i am on 6

  • Where does one type the command to upgrade from OMV5 to OMV6? Is that after a successful login in Putty you type that command there and it does the work for you? And will this keep all of my settings in tact or will I have to redo all of the shares and settings?

    Version: 7.0-32 (Sandworm)

    Kernel: Linux 6.1.0-18-amd64

Is that after a successful login in Putty

Yes. Before that remove any plugins that have not been upgraded to OMV6.

And will this keep all of my settings in tact or will I have to redo all of the shares and settings?

Yes. However it is always good to have backups of your data and your OS drive.
