Error 500 - Plugins won't install or uninstall

  • Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well. I'm having a problem with my OMV, I'm trying to install some plugins but none of them install, and when I try to uninstall Clamav 6.0.1-2 it says it's not installed. When trying to install, I always get error 500.

    -How can I resolve this?

-If I reinstall OMV 6 or install OMV 5 will I lose my data on RAID 1 HDDs?

Note: I'm new to programming and here on the forum.

Don't use OMV5. It is end of life and not supported any more.

Do you get more error messages? If there is a red box coming up with more text, you can use the bell icon in the top right corner of the GUI to copy the complete text and past it here in a code box </>

  • Thank you for the tips...

It isn't fully installed. Do you have backports enabled? What is the output of: dpkg -l | grep -E "openme|qemu|libvirt"

    omv 7.0.5-1 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.8 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.13 | compose 7.2 | k8s 7.1.0-3 | cputemp 7.0.1 | mergerfs 7.0.4 | scripts 7.0.1

You didn't answer if you had backports enabled? You can look at the omv-extras settings screen. What kind of system is this?

  • About the backports, I don't think there are, I can't say, but I installed some resources following a tutorial

    Code
    all updates
    Clamav
    wget -O - https://github.com/OpenMediaVault-Plugin-Developers/packages/raw/master/install | bash
    Docker
    Portainer
    RAID 1 - BTRFS
    SMB/CIFS

omv-extras is an additional resource available at: https://wiki.omv-extras.org/

Is the backports checkbox in omv-extras -> Settings checked?

  • I did that, I restarted the machine and it worked, I had set it to be a fixed IP, but I did not define the DNS server.

    Then I used:

    apt update

    apt upgrade

    apt list --upgradable

    everything is working perfectly again.

Thank you very much for your help, you saved me.

For those wondering how I did it, just go to network > interfaces > edit the network device (remember to select it).
