redundant updates

  • Hi, after having a problem with the transmission, I decided to reinstall omv, and faced the problem of redundant updates. Now the system shows me 115 updates. And most of them do not apply to my system, like 10 drivers for wifi, bluetooth, video or 10gb adapters. How can I remove the extra junk from this.

  • Unfortunately, it didn't work, everything is as it was

That is normal. That way you don't have to install any drivers when installing new hardware. Just install them.

  • The first time I did it, but it takes about 4 hours to update these packages. And I don't have an AMD graphics card. Bluetooth Wi-Fi and a 10 gigabit adapter. I tried to install Debian 11 (Bullseye) and the omv package separately, this did not happen, and the installation took less time, but it did not work to install docker there. I would like to avoid this.

  • Which debian 11 did you take?

not work to install docker, there are enough posts about it:

  • I know this method and have already used it, my installation window showed that there is no access to dns servers, I thought that this might be due to the fact that adguard home is installed on my router and there is a redirect from port 53 to 5353. but resetting the router and deleting adguard home did not help.

  • No, there were no problems with installation and updates, except for updating the kernel to version 6.0. omv worked other than installing docker. This is if we are talking about a separate installation of debian and the subsequent installation of the omv package. When installing an omv image, I have different problems every time after the first one. The first time everything worked perfectly. Now it basically shows 500 error and those extra updates. The text may be strange because I use a translator

  • Good afternoon, I reinstalled the system. separately debian and then installed omv package. In general, everything worked out, but one mistake was left, and I do not understand how to solve it, I think it's a matter of rights, because some things did not want to work through the web interface they had to be manually installed. Now I have a bar hanging with impossible tasks.
