Yes, remove the RAID and wipe each of the drives. After that you can create a new RAID or create filesystems on the separate drives.

You can do it from the GUI of OMV, except if you have to use wipefs, which has to be executed from the CLI (terminal/console).

Remove all shared folder pointing on the RAID from any service
Remove all shared folders pointing on the RAID
Unmount the filesystem on the RAID
Delete the RAID
wipe the drives (in disks menue; short should be enough)
create new RAID; if that fails, come back here

In that case there is still some service that points to the Raid. You can install the plugin openmediavault-resetperms and it will help you with this. The second tab will list these services.

How do I find the root pass?
I assume you have access to the OMV GUI.
Create a user (or use one that is already created) and put it in the sudo and ssh groups.
Log in to the CLI with that user and type sudo passwd root
Enter the new password. It will ask you twice.
That is your new root password.

If you have changed the root password you should be able to log in with that password.
Maybe the keyboard is not set correctly in your language? You can try a password without special characters. Watch the capital letters.
