If you really want to go that way,
First and foremost, make sure you make a clone image of the 16Gb SSD and keep it in a safe place.
Use a clonezilla live stick with both drives connected.
Then clone one to the other.
Make sure you are pointing the source 16Gb to the correct SSD and the target to the correct 1Tb SSD
After it's done, powerdown and remove the 16Gb SSD.
Boot up and it should use the 1Tb SSD but its partition will still be 16Gb.
Run resize2fs /dev/sdXY where X is the drive letter and Y is the partition number to take over the rest of the free space.
