Booting up an older OMV 6 greets me with "Failed to start: Rotate log files"

  • On an older HP Proliant server (I guess Gen. 8 ) I am trying to boot up a SSD that contains OMV 6 already, albeit an older one.

The Linux kernel seems to start up, hen greets me immediately with

    - "Failed to start: Rotate log files"

Sorry I have no idea what to do from here

Hat den Titel des Themas von „Booting up an older OMV 6 greet sme with "Failed to start: Rotate log files"“ zu „Booting up an older OMV 6 greets me with "Failed to start: Rotate log files"“ geändert.
  • I'm sorry, I don't see where I can get more info from while booting?

By using Etcher, I got a running installation later but it seems strange to me that the standard Linux Mint "USB Imager" (Abbilderstellung in german) seems to fail. It did not fail when I used the same path some years ago.

I guesss it would be at least helpful to other users to know that the imager fails, that's why I am documenting it here.
