Hi guys,
I'm using LE v3.4.3, and I can't generate my certs.
FYI: I'm not using reverse proxy.

webroot http: 80

Did you enter a name on the settings tab? Something seems to be missing and I need to add better error checking.
Yes.
I uninstalled/re-installed LE more than 10 times, but no luck.

Uh... Uninstalling it isn't going to fix anything. Post the output of: omv-showkey letsencrypt

That looks fine but if you deleted the cert that is in the certuuid field, it will have problems. I would edit /etc/openmediavault/config.xml and remove the uuid in the certuuid field.
I can't access OMV web gui after I deleted it.
Edit: I ran omv-firstaid, I got in.
I regenerated the cert and it worked!
One thing I notice: even though it said all my subdomains are failed, but the cert is generated and working.
Thank you.
Hello,
how to delete old certificate?
I can select but delete button still in grey.
how to delete old certificate?
I can select but delete button still in grey.
Are they in use somewhere in the web interface or a plugin?
no, I select the new one to use https, and is not in use the old one
no, I select the new one to use https, and is not in use the old one
Not sure then. Normally you can delete them when not in use.
Hello,
I have a litlle issue with this plugin :
I've applied, create a certificate, in general settings, I chose the newly created one, and applied.
You can see the result here : https://storage.sdewitte.net/ => the certificate is not approved (it says that I may have to import a root certificate).
Can someone help me ?
Go to system -> Certificates -> SSL and revise how many certificates do you have, if only one, press "detail" and post CN= and validity= to be sure that CN is Letscrypt
if you have two or more, revise what is assigned in system-> General Settings-> Secure connection.
actually I generate a new certificate, but I can't apply, see screen capture, and old certificate is greyed so I can't delete it.
I revise all modules (FTP, WEBGUI, etc...) that can use old cert, and can confirm that is not in use, so I do not understand why , i can't delete it, and why fails when save / apllied
ok, I finally can delete the old certificate, I need to change in webGUI to "none" as you can see in atached file to delete the old certificate.
But still have problem trying to apply new cert.
I finally solve the problem, I write this to help others in the same problem.
1 - I need to delete all certificates, because button to delete is greyed i need to find the problems, and finally found that I need to select "none" on the General settings (secure conection) once save it with "none" as certificate, I can delete all the certs.
2 - I uninstall letsencrypt
3 - I revise config.xml and see that still exist the letsecrypt entry, so I delete it
4 - reinstall Letsencrypt, configure it and this time the cert is generated corrrectly and can be used.
Hi All
Is there a way to link the letsencrypt cert to the cert in the admin console under certificates ?
I tried to simlink the /etc/ssl/openmediavault-uuid cert to /etc/letsencrypt/live/mydomain/ but it doesn't like it as the /etc/openmediavault/config.xml has this cert embedded .
The whole idea here is to be able to use systemwide the letsencrypt cert for FTP, mumble etc, admin console, which gets autorefreshed by the letsencrypt plugin.
Thanks for any suggestions.
That is exactly what the plugin does. No need to make a symlink and do anything from the command line. It creates the cert with certbot and then imports that cert into the ssl cert section of the OMV web interface. If you want to use the cert for ftp, it should be in the dropdown in the ssl tab. If you want to use it for the omv web interface, look in the web administration tab. No idea about mumble but maybe you could point it at the /etc/letsencryp/live cert.
i have updated to the last version 3.4.4 and i see the new table for the domains. what is the since?
I think the weak point is the port 80 with bound on the OMVwebgui. Can i config different ports for the certbot (only for letzencrypt) and deaktivate or an other port for the http OMV webgui?
@ryecoaaron thank you for your great work on this plugin - and of course many other plugins
what is the since?
I don't understand. Are you asking why I added it? If so, I added it because it the proper way to use certbot with multiple domains.
I think the weak point is the port 80 with bound on the OMVwebgui.
You can change the port that the OMV web interface uses to another port. I do.
Can i config different ports for the certbot (only for letzencrypt)
Nope.
