miniDLNA change db path

  • Hello out there,

I ran into a problem with the miniDLNA plugin.

Every time I try to change the db_dir=/var/cache/minidlna to a new path and restart miniDLNA plugin it rewrites the /etc/minidlna.conf new and
I end up with the default path for the db. ;(?(

I use the latest plugin version 3.3.11

Has anyone an idea how to solve that? Pleeeese

Stop manually changing the config file. Read problem #8 - https://forum.openmediavault.o…tions-to-common-problems/

That said, there is no way to change it without changing the plugin. Why do you want to move it? It isn't very big. No one has needed that in the six years since I wrote the plugin. You could always run minidlna in docker if you really want to move it. The only reason I still maintain this plugin is because it is my reference plugin for new versions of OMV.

    THX,
The reason, for moving it, is that I keep a very strict data storage guideline to myself. Kind a obsession ;) . I do have an extra SSD for all DBs, that can be moved, e.g. mysql.
