I have an SSD to replace it but not sure how id go about that ? any advice would be great thankyou.

You could use Clonezilla do mirror old SSD to the new one.

Plug your new SSD into the server, open terminal, use the dd command to clone the drive, shutdown & unplug the old one, move the new one to the old one's SATA port to be on the safe side, call it a day.

Not at all! No one is born knowing this stuff, it's good that you ask to know what you're doing!

Just make sure that there is no permanent damage to file system coused by an old SSD.
I am not 1-on-1 with Linux so I can't give you
any more advice.Sent from my Redmi Note 5 using Tapatalk

I would do a fresh install. Too risky to copy corrupt data from your old ssd to the new one.

Exactly. Why someone would recommend cloning a drive that has known problems, I have absolutely no clue... but I think that's a terrible idea.
Just suck it up, clean install. You won't have to create your raid again, just your shares, etc..
