I want to copy a large amount of data from one filesystem on the OMV to another file system on the same system. Is there a graphical plugin I can use? Like a file manager?
GUI for copying files on the share directly?

There are several threads about it.
My favourites:
midnight commander on CLI
doublecommander in Docker

Midnight commander! Awesome tip! Thanks a lot for the fast reply!

I agree on Midnight Commander. Also check out the command "screen".
It can be run on a SSH shell before you start mc. It allows you to start a file transfer with mc and disconnect from the shell. Turn off your PC or laptop. And the transfer continues. Later you can open a new SSH shell and reconnect to the previous shell using "screen -r" to see if mc is finished.
And screen can do a lot more.

yes, screen is necessary to disconnect from the local terminal. otherwise I would have to have it open during the whole process of copying. I got to know screen for that reason some time ago. What else can it do? I love linux. And the community. Have a nice day!

Using screen you can have several persistent shells active and flip between them.
