an other stupid issue : connecting an usb drive ntfs , nothing see on it !

hi

wow , i ve connected a usb dirve , comming from zindozs 10 , with ntfs , imported , mounter ;, shared , with user permisson , ......

on the gui all seem to be ok .

when i m browse this drive , with the network discovery of zindozs , it's empty !!!

(affraid , i ve checked , with cli , the dirive , alle the data seems to be here ! )

sure i ve missed a step .... --> i see the content with the commande line ....

then , ive missed a step , with share , the permissions ... should check it again .

as i seen ....

only one difference , /dev/sda1 is an ext4 , smb shared omv drive user permissions , guest permited , and acl

/dev/sdb1 is an ntfs , smb shared omv drive same user permissions , guest permitted , and no acl ...

i ve applied : Samba Share Types in OMV

nothing to do ..... grrrrr !

YOU HAVE AGAIN RIGHT !

for the other share , i ve shared folder , and not the root device ..... ( i would like to share root , i m a generous man ! )

but have you participated in the developpement of omv or something else ?

the root , "la racine" , like share c: or /dev/sda1 .....

not /dev/sda1/toto_directory ....

for me rootfs .... (as an unix admin ) is the main root ( like slash or / ) , right ?

when i speak of the rootfs of the device i seen under linux as /dev/sdx1/ (and you can see all the tree under the /dev/sda1 monted ... ) ...

am i clear ? (english it s not my mothertong ,

like a zindozs system , .... i should resolve me to erase all and do a fresh install !!!! :-/
