As mentioned by Soma the linuxserver/nexcloud container has to be updated by
- updating the image (seems this has been done)
- update Nextcloud from the WebUpdated in the GUI of Nextcloud
from https://hub.docker.com/r/linuxserver/nextcloud
ZitatIn order to update nextcloud version, you have two options, firstly make sure you are using the latest docker image, then either
- Perform the in app gui update.
- Use the CLI version by running
docker exec -it nextcloud updater.phar
(Both of these are described here)

Started the update now. Seems I might have to do it a few times to get to the latest version

I've update up to 17.0.10 but there a database issue that needs fixing.
Some columns in the database are missing a conversion to big int. Due to the fact that changing column types on big tables could take some time they were not changed automatically. By running 'occ db:convert-filecache-bigint' those pending changes could be applied manually. This operation needs to be made while the instance is offline.
I cant find the right command in to get into docker and run the above command?.... I think im a bit rusty. -

Thanks everyone for your help. I'm now finally on the latest version
Now I know to keep it updated via the web updater as the Nextcloud application isn't stored within the container. Lesson learnedThanks legends

Now I know to keep it updated via the web updater
and using the latest image prior to upgrade. Make sure to read
https://hub.docker.com/r/linuxserver/nextcloud
Which version are you on? 22?
-
Yes, you have to update both nextcloud and mariadb images first. As you say, keep them updated with watchtower
I took a few updates with small database repairs along the way, but I'm now updated to 21.0.3 (stable release)
It's a pretty slick looking Nextcloud now I've updated -
I'm now updated to 21.0.3
Same for me. Waiting for 22 for the Collectives App to see if it can replace my xwiki.
