On the Odroids you have to install the OS first and then OMV on top with the installation script.

I would use Armbian as OS. If you use the version based on Bullseye the script will install OMV6.
Thank you!
I've been trying to figure out how to put OMV on an Odroid (I have and HC4), and got frustrated.
I've read various docs several times -- installation on an SBC isn't explained properly. Your first line helps so much! (I'm sure it's not stated anywhere.) The docs try to address every kind of board and boot media, which makes it too confusing; needs to cleaned up.

Have you seen this?

No. I was focused on OMV5 (read that 6 is still 'testing' -- or something like that).
But, I learned (in the last couple days) that, for a new install, 6 is the way to go. So, looks like that's next.

There is a guide for 5 and 6 - Installing OMV6 or OMV5 on Raspberry PI's, Armbian SBC's, & i386 32-bit platforms - basically the same thing with some minor changes for web interface differences. But yes, 6 is the way to go.

My DIY NAS is finally ready.
I won't to know how to spindown WDRed HDD in OMV6?
Hdparm did not work for me in OMV5.
Is hd-idle way to go?
-
I would try the settings in OMV6 first. If it does not work (as it did not in OMV5 for you) I would try hd-idle.

I have OMV6 on an Odroid HC4 with WD Red. The disks spin down immediately with "hdparm -y" and stay spun down, but if I configure the timeout instead they never spin down. I haven't looked into it any further yet.

I have a problem.
I am trying to install OpenMediaVault 6 from a usb stick.
After installation, everything works only if I install OMV6 in UEFI mode, but then I can't go into the BIOS settings.
If I don't install as UEFI, then I can't boot OMV6 at all, but the computer goes directly into BIOS.
MBO is Asrock j4125 ITX
EDIT:
Reinstalling OMV6 solved the problem.

I installed both msmtp and msmtp-mta today. My fault because msmtp-mta uninstalled my OpenMediaVault and as far as I could see all the plugins. After that I uninstalled msmtp-mta. I was able to install OpenMediaVault6 using a script (sudo wget -O - https://github.com/OpenMediaVa…Script/raw/master/install | sudo bash). I was only uninstall the flashmemory plugin.
All my openmediavault settings except the plugins have remained.
What I'm wondering is, can I leave it at that or would you recommend reinstalling OpenMediaVault6 from scratch?
