It's in System overview near the left bottom or you can enter this command in Putty: uname -a
uname is the kernel dpkg -l | grep openmediavault will tell you the version
OOps, too much commands to memorize
Thanks for your replies @ryecoaaron @tinh_x7
I am specifically looking to find out via the web gui which I access by typing http://openmediavault.home/ in my web browser
dpkg -l | grep -i "openmediavault -" | awk {'print "OMV " $3'} | cut -d '.' -f1,2

Nice script. Changing the last 2 to 3 gives better results.
root@omv6:~# dpkg -l | grep -i "openmediavault -" | awk {'print "OMV " $3'} | cut -d '.' -f1,2
OMV 6.0
root@omv6:~# dpkg -l | grep -i "openmediavault -" | awk {'print "OMV " $3'} | cut -d '.' -f1,3
OMV 6.11-1
dpkg-query -W -f='${Version}' openmediavault
aaron@omv6dev:~$ dpkg-query -W -f='${Version}' openmediavault
6.0.12-1
