Are there any guides for upgrade?
I believe you can SSH and issue command :
omv-release-upgrade
to upgrade.
I have a the OS on USB stick.
Any help or guide to upgrade -- I want to keep my mounts working after upgrade.

Hey there, I am in the process of upgrade from OMV 5.6.XXX to 6 and I have the following plugins
openmediavault-flashmemory
openmediavault-omvextrasorg
openmediavault-resetperms
From my observations openmediavault-flashmemory & openmediavault-omvextrasorg are available in OMV6. However, openmediavault-resetperms is not available in OMV6.
Should I disable openmediavault-resetperms before upgrade. Please advice.
Should I disable openmediavault-resetperms before upgrad
It is ported - omv-extras plugins - porting progress to OMV 6.x (done)
Thank you.....
Here are the steps I gathered from this forum. Are these steps correct?
I am assuming my mounts will not change. Can somebody confirm.
STEPS:
1. I boot from USB - made a clone of USB
2. Took a detail screenshot of all the menu's including Rsync
3. Check if installed plugin is available in OMV6
openmediavault-flashmemory
openmediavault-omvextrasorg
openmediavault-resetperms
4. Make sure your current install is correct all configs can be deployed by running:
sudo omv-salt stage run deploy
Get the current install up to date:
sudo omv-upgrade
Do the release upgrade by running:
sudo omv-release-upgrade
If you see an error message from patch which says a patch has alredy been
applied, ignore it. (this is the only error to be ignored)
5. Wait for the last script to finish and reboot.
6. Refresh/clear browser cache (Crtl-Shift R on most browsers)
7. Check if all services and docker containers are running as you expect. (I have none)
8. If you see Linux image Updates you can not install on the UI, go to the cli and run
omv-upgrade
once more.
Looks fine to me. I have never run the omv-salt stage run deploy as part of major upgrade though.
Will I loose my mounts and share after upgrade?
nope, however, you should always have backup
Based on feedback here is my steps
STEPS:
1. I boot from USB - made a clone of USB
2. Took a detail screenshot of all the menu's including Rsync - Take shares BACKUP
3. Check if installed plugin is available in OMV6

openmediavault-resetperms
4. Get the current install up to date:
sudo omv-upgrade

Seems to have gone well.... all mounts and shares etc seem to be holding....
However, I am not seeing the plugins....How do I install the following plugins
openmediavault-flashmemory
openmediavault-omvextrasorg
openmediavault-resetperms
first try if clearing your browser cache solves it
or try browser in private mode
No luck after refresh - screenshot
Ah, you do not see any plugins. There is a fix in the forum. Need to find it
Run the script
Thanks macom.
Now I see the plugins.....However, I see the following errors - Should I be concerned?
