Jedenfalls Vielen Dank für deine Hilfe :!:

  • In Windows 11 Network browser, click on your OMV server, then left click the folder you are trying to access on this server, in the properties dialog box go to security pane>Advanced>Share tab and add "everyone" in the permissions entries box. Now when you enter your OMV credentials , you will be given access to this folder on Windows-11. You will also be able to save the credentials.

  • Does it work if you use the IP instead of the name?

    no

-Access to the PC on the web - surface / workbench is flawless

-Access from the Enigma 2 /Linux Sat Box to the shares is also OK

-The OMV Nas1 (see screenshot) is displayed in Win Explorer, but access to the Cifs shares is not possible

the error message "On\\NAS1 could not ........network error" appears.

I've already tried to remake the network settings with "firstaid" and check them carefully -

    Unfortunately without success :(

Everything has worked flawlessly so far.

    The only changes were a

Windows 11pro update to current status

    and

the updates installed in the omv 6.

Also tried to access the Nas1 shares from another Windows 11 PC and a Linux Mint20 PC.

    Unfortunately also without success. ???

Anyway, thanks a lot for your help :!:

  • In Windows 11 Network browser, I click on your OMV server, then left clicked the folder you are trying to access on this server, in the properties dialog box go to security pane>Advanced>Share tab and add "everyone" in the permissions entries box. Now when you enter your OMV credentials , you will be given access to this folder on Windows-11. You will also be able to save the credentials.

In the windows network browser I can't get to the releases / folders - a Nas (that's the problem)

I therefore have no way of accessing the Windows shares (your screenshot) and setting them to "everyone".

    Has never been necessary before.

  • First try turning NetBios over TCP/IP on for the adapter that you are using to connect to the OMV server network.

  • make sure your network is set to private and not public. Also trying pinging the ip address of your server from your Windows11 machine and see if it is reachable. For example [ Ping 192.168.1.1 -t ] <--your server ip goes here.

  • make a public folder on your OMV, and see if that is accessible from your network browser , to rule out windows-11 permission issues.

  • make a public folder on your OMV, and see if that is accessible from your network browser , to rule out windows-11 permission issues.

Since I only use the Nas alone in the private area (home network), all created folders are referenced and have SAMBA/CIFs shares

    everyone: read/write

Did I understand that correctly ?

    do you mean "public folder"?

  • Make sure Public is set to "Guests Allowed" or "Guests only"
