I'm looking into using OMV to use rsync to pull a backup from a Synology NAS.
(Currently I have two synology NAS's where this works fine, but one is "end of life".)
On the Synology I can make an rsync task, and include a bunch of different folders I want to copy.
So one rsync task for all folders.
It seems to me that on OMV I need to have a job for each shared folder? Is this correct?
I could of course create a bunch of rsync tasks, one for each folder, but I am worried what will happen if they happen to be running at the same time?
I would rather that all folders are sync'ed one after another, so that one rsync task does not start if another is already active.
Is this possible in the OMV GUI?
I am also somewhat annoyed by the fact that the rsync-tasks need to have a shared folder created simply to be able to select those folder as a destination for the sync.
Am I better off just writing a script?
