Hi i'm here again
my build
intel core2duo
4 gb of ddr2
120 gb ssd
500gb hdd
why boot time is so long about >2 minutes?
compare to OMV 5 is about under 1 minute.
2 minutes + boot time OMV 6

You can analyze the boot process with systemd-analyze, eg
systemd-analyze
ystemd-analyze critical-chain
systemd-analyze blame
-
Second command is missing an s, it is systemd-analyze critical-chain
-
-
Looks good. Was this when you had the perception it took over 2 minutes to boot?

Yes, since when i'm still on omv 5 same system(spec) it boot under a minutes before i heard the sound omv play after boot. with this omv 6 i'm pretty sure >2 minutes
and how do you tell if it is okay? i wanna know how to.... if you kind enough
-
-
it says boot time is about 14 seconds until all services are started.
How do you measure boot time of 2 minutes?

As Zoki mentioned, all services are started within 14 seconds, so much shorter than 2 minutes.
You can read about systemd-analyze here: https://www.freedesktop.org/so…/man/systemd-analyze.html

i measure it from nas off till it can be access or till i hear the beeb

i measure it from nas off till it can be access
as boot time of server can't be blamed, issue seems to be on side of client or network hardware.
Likely a value of i.e. 60 seconds used for timeout on a connection attempt or something similar.
Could you explain in detail how connection to OMV NAS are established?

Does one of your drives has probles to come up?

nas => router (1gbps wired) ???

this is the content of video?
Message "Loading initial ramdisk" was shown for most of the time. Is this the delay you mean?

that is the delay... and what is that? and why?
and it is booting (nas off to ready to use) >2 minutes right? -
The "initial ramdisk" is loaded to ram very early in the boot phase. Even before systemd is starting. That is why we did not see the long boot time with systemd-analyze.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Initial_ramdisk
The question is, why it takes longer than before.
During start up you see the grub menue. If you have entries for other kernel, you could try one of the others.

i dont know....
all i know is i intalled omv 5 then reinstall omv 6 on same ssd and same hdd drive.
i dont wipe my drive cuz it already conatain file from before reinstall OMV6.
how di i check for if i have entry for other kernel
grub menu yes(the blue something....) -
You could use the kernel plugin to install a different kernel.
But 2 minutes for loading the file is too long when using a ssd.
