Hallo jhmiller,

I'm also having issues running this script on OMV 3.0
installed lm-sensors just fine and i get this output
ZitatAlles anzeigenroot@kabini:/tmp/omvsensors-master# sensors

radeon-pci-0008

Now i set it to "SENSOR1="/var/lib/rrdcached/db/localhost/sensors-k10temp-pci-00c3/temperature-temp1.rrd" because /var/lib/collectd seems to be empty. But whatever i set i get this:
Zitatroot@kabini:/tmp/omvsensors-master# /usr/share/openmediavault/mkconf/collectd.d/sensors
sensors[27243]: WARN: 'given rrd-file in /var/lib/collectd/rrd/localhost for SENSOR1 does not exist'

sensors[27243]: WARN: 'Pleast check your config-file'
sensors[27243]: WARN: 'exiting script ...'
any ideas ?
Edit: i hardlinked the file to the location omvsensors expects it to be, but when running omv-mkgraph i get nothing in the web interface... ?
Hello,
I used this nice plugin since Jan. 2016 and it worked very well - unfortunately only for cpu but thats ok.
Now, since one week the graphs for week and day are empty. At the graph for month I can see, that since one week there is no temperature measured.
Perhaps it is because I had to restart my openmediavault server one week ago because I bought an UPS.
I also tried already the command omk-mkgraph which does not show up any errors and sensors outputs this:
root@debian02:/usr/sbin# sensors

What happened and what can I do to get the plugin collect the temperatures again?
Best regards

Make sure you have the latest version of the detection script
rm /usr/share/openmediavault/mkconf/sensors
wget -O /usr/share/openmediavault/mkconf/sensors https://raw.githubusercontent.com/OpenMediaVault-Plugin-Developers/openmediavault-sensors/master/usr/share/openmediavault/mkconf/sensors
chmod +x /usr/share/openmediavault/mkconf/sensors
/usr/share/openmediavault/mkconf/sensors
Refresh OMV webui after and before checking graphs.
If that does not fix your issue you could try disabling the sensor in the plugin page (save/apply) then re-enable it. Another option would be to uninstall and reinstall the plugin.
I can't do anything without knowing what sensors are in your machine.

Hi jhmiller,
thank you for your help.
I redownloaded the detection script, decativated and reactivated the plugin and then refreshed the OMV webgui, but now the gui is broken as you can se here (the temperature tab is not showing up anymore - sorry its in german):
I think the empty space was the temperature tab. When I open this tab, all graphs are empty.
If I uninstall the plugin and reinstal it, will the data preserved?
Best regards!
The graphs will reset from the date it is installed on, so you will loose any existing data. You could try just installing again over the top of the current install, this will keep all data intact.
some news about to use in OMV 3.0.21 or up?
Just got a Dell Poweredge 2950 and having a bit of a problems.

However when I look in the GUI I get frown faces. I tried using the Will also monitor CPU cores Temperatures options but that didnt work either. Any suggestions are appreciated. Also, as I can see the memory temps, are there any checkboxes I can use to show that data?
I will look at this as i know coretemp is in the hardware list, might need adjusting to allow for dual cpu's
I tried to setup OMV-sensors 3.0 on OMV 3.0.58, but I can't get it to show my CPU temps aswell. What I've done:
Sensors output:

My NAS uses an Intel Celeron G3900 with two logiocal cores with passive cooling. Did I make a mistake?
I think you should just enable cpu temps and make sure the cpu core option is enabled as well, try that and let me know.
This was a layer 8 problem. I didn't notice the Services>Sensors point in the left hand menu
Hello, is Sensors sorted on OMV 3.0 Banana Pi? I'm not getting it in System information.
CPU, Cores, MB - On.
