Hey,
i updated to OMV 7 shortly after it came out and some time after the upgrade or directly after the update i am not able to update via the Web UI.
If i SSH in and do an apt get update i see packages i can update, if i go to the Updates tab in the Web UI its empty (No data to display.), clicking on the "Check for new updates" does not change that.
If any logs are of use just tell me which once and where to find em and ill send them.
Thanks in advance for helping with this bug

UPDATE:
i had time to check upon the thread raulfg3 shared here.
Solution was:sudo wget -O /usr/sbin/omv-mkaptidx https://github.com/openmediavault/openmediavault/raw/master/deb/openmediavault/usr/sbin/omv-mkaptidx
sudo chmod +x /usr/sbin/omv-mkaptidx
sudo omv-mkaptidx

I only want to add that in my case the problem was due I do the upgrade from WeTTY so the problem really is taht once wetty connection is closed, upgrade stop.
I do the same upgrade on other machines fron a shell ( local keyboard & Monitor), and in all cases went fine.
@Combatsatellite & @damiano34 how do you launch the upgrade?, from Shell, from CLI, from WeTTY?

When using CLI via SSH, its also better to run the upgrade inside a screen session.

i used ssh with CLI, i would knows it next time, inside a screen session.

Do you mean running the update with a monitor and keyboard? That makes updating remote systems a little difficult, right?

Detach the screen with Ctrl+A and d
You can even exit the SSH that the screen keeps running
