any thoughts on implementing pydio?
works much better as a dropbox alternative than owncloud does.

A single page Thread...
Plugins that are wanted - Part 5
Pydio used to be called ajaxplorer. Unfortunately, it is not good in my opinion.

I think a encrypted remote Backup solutions such as http://www.duplicati.com/ or http://duplicity.nongnu.org/ would be nice.
also a simple SFTP server manager for user permission would be good for easy file sharing.
Would it be possible to add under system information, details for disks according this thread HOW to know if disk are spinning or idle?
And would it be possible in services overview adding the possibility to switch on/off services?
The switches are just dummy icons. Maybe with a newer version of the extjs framework they can be used as real toggles. But not with the current version.

Thats what I wanted to propose. Fine, If it's already in mind of developers.
it is. Since Januar 2014 - http://bugtracker.openmediavault.org/view.php?id=965
I think it would be nice to complement a vpn client connection a plugin that could handle iptables marking rules per uid process. This would allow certain plugins to have their wan (in-out) traffic to be redirected through the vpn gateway, instead of the default gateway. Interface binding is only allowed on certain apps only.
i vote for owncloud or owncloud alternative. I'm not fixed on owncloud but it have the functions i need. card -cal, webdav and synccliends for linux android an windows.
I find this owncloud alternative amusing. There have always been 2 methods to use as a database for owncloud. But now people start calling MySQL an alternatvie. heheh.
I want a downloader with user separation (with Transmission, everything you download will be known to others), not sure if integrating something like TorrentFlux will be good idea?
And an integrated WebDAV browsing interface for end users to manage their files will be good.
I vote for dropbox but I would like to see a Google drive plugin based on grive or something else. The only issue of grive is that it not push client and needs to run to sychronize the file/directories but at least it does the job.
Would the dropbox plugin neeed any custom settings? Or just enable and everything else in dropbox itself?
Greetings
David
Really I don't know. I know about the grive how it works because I installed as normal program. It only needs once to authenticate with the google by a generated hash.
It is already in the list, you just have to vote for it
What's the opinion here about Cozy as an Owncloud alternative? https://cozy.io/en/
They also offer a light version called cozy-light (they claim they designed it to be run on a raspberry pi) http://cozy-labs.github.io/cozy-light/
Does not have an iOS app, but has an Android one https://play.google.com/store/…s?id=io.cozy.files_client . Seems to be young, but also seems to be kicking some serious backside already. Have a look at the demo of the webinterface. https://demo.cozycloud.cc/
The fun fact is that it is designed to have has its own "apps" written in HTML5 and javascript, so if you make a Cozy plugin, it can be a case of taking down an entire flock of birds with a single stone. (i'm seeing a web-based file manager right there, and something about carddav)
I have seen comments from someone of this forum (in the old forum) about its lack of progress at july 2014, but they finally have a decent PR man and things seem to be improving http://blog.cozycloud.cc/news/…itot-joins-the-cozy-crew/
I'd say to give it a chance, they could use some less-francophone PR too.
Voted my picks in the poll btw.
I've just voted for the OpenVPN client plugin.
Happy to spare some time and do my part if somebody is willing to either cooperate or to give me some directions.
The plugin Id' be looking for is a webpage where to upload the .ovpn file, dump in the username and password and hit "connect" or "disconnect".
Thanks,
Tommy

Hey guys, will this be difficult to implement?
I think it belongs in the Physical Disks tab. I don't think you can't put it in the Smart Devices tab because I think checking the drive temperature wakes it up. Either way, it would have to be added to core omv. So, I would add a feature request to bugtracker.
