So, maybe I'm missing something staring me in the face...

  • Installed docker and I'm greeting with this.

I've used docker on OMV 4 before with no issues at all under Services -> Docker, but I don't see that here with OMV 5, only this screen. Where do I go from here to actually start downloading containers?

  • There is no Docker service in OMV 5. You can install and use Portainer or Yacht or add containers in the shell.

Your choice of /var/lib/docker for the Docker Storage location is not a good idea.

  • Install Portainer and use that to download the containers.

OP... Unless you have a very large OS drive;... Read that 7-10 times before you proceed.

In other words when your /var/lib/docker folder (which is on the system drive) fills up with docker files it will basically mess your system up. Not beyond repair, but not a pretty picture either. It is recommended you change this to somewhere under /srv.

To create and manage docker containers download Portainer right from the page you have in front of you (after you move your docker path). There are several good how-tos on the forum that will get you started with Portainer or docker-compose (an even better way, IMO). Give it a chance. You will wind up loving it.
